Mobile Equipment

Can the Operator See You?

“You can see the operator—but can the operator see you?”

COMMUNICATE • CONFIRM • STAY CLEAR

Mobile equipment, changing travel paths, and busy work areas create dangerous assumptions. Never enter an operating area until you have positive confirmation from the operator.

  1. 01Stay out of blind spots and equipment travel paths.
  2. 02Make eye contact or use a radio—then wait for acknowledgment.
  3. 03Never approach until the operator has stopped and confirmed it is safe.
  4. 04Operators: account for nearby people before moving.
TAKEAWAYDon’t assume you’ve been seen. Make it a positive confirmation every time.
